Questions about pdf to text
- The output is empty. Why?
- The pages are pictures, usually a scan or a photo, with no text layer. Those need OCR, which this tool does not do yet.
- Why is the layout different from the PDF?
- Text is extracted in reading order without columns, tables or fonts. It is meant for copying and counting, not for reproducing the page.
